A hearty hello to all my fans out there!  Sorry to have been so delayed in getting content up this month.  There are several reasons for the lack of an update, but most importantly our internet has been down here at Chez Moawad and Pops just was able to get away for a new modem yesterday.  Normally Pops would hustle to get the internet fixed since he is totally addicted to Bejeweled Blitz and Mafia Wars on Facebook, but he's been a little bit busy preparing for some big trial that starts tomorrow.

ANYWAY: lots has been happening around here.  First, I have a new toy that I L-O-V-E: my ExerSaucer!  The lights, the music, the ability to entertain myself!  Who cares if I'm setting myself up for a lifetime of ADHD?  When I push the buttons and "The Itsy Bitsy Spider" starts to play I'm as happy as can be.  I'm also very fond of it because my kitty and doggy will come hang out near me when I'm in it.  I now notice them all the time, and seeing Maxwell especially fills my heart with glee.  I can hardly contain my squeals and giggles.  Emmitt also comes close from time to time and when he does I love to grab onto his fur with all my might.  This could explain why he mostly stays away.  Moms does not love it, either, because she has to clean all of the Emmitt fur off of my sticky, slobbery hands and face.

Since Pops is working so hard (even on Saturdays) Moms and I went to the Red Cabin at Klipsan Beach for Moms' cousin Anne's 40th Birthday!  Lots of Ladies were there to hang out--we drove there with Auntie Feather and Granny V, and I got to hang out with Anne, Christine, Rhonda, Ami, Barbara, Carol, Kelly, Julie, Jeri Kay, Susie, Debbie, Brandi, Danielle, VIckie, Lindsey, and Miranda.  I think it goes without saying that I was a BIG hit.  Huge.

Moms and Granny V and I stayed in a nearby motel so I could get some good night sleep, but during the day I continued my recent trend of not napping well AT ALL.  I just don't like to miss the parrr-tay!  I can't help myself.  Sleep is for the weak, and I don't want to miss anything.

When Moms and Pops go to work, I am still the luckiest baby in the world because Granny V and Grandpa Jeff come over to take care of me.  With this whole nap thing I'm really wearing them out, too, but they faithfully return every morning just the same.

We do lots of activities while they're here.  Granny V and I have "boppy talk," I do sit ups, I stand, I play on my gym mat, and we go on lots of walks around the neighborhood...that is, until Gramps twisted his ankle the other day.  Get better soon, old man!

I love to check out the Leaves on the Trees
Baby Jack: He gets Taller, I gets Wider
Mr. John, Miss Kirsten, and Baby Jack came over last weekend for another football game.  It is always fun to hang out with them, even if Moms made me and Pops stick to my bedtime routine.  I now get ready for bed every night at 7:00.  Moms turns on some music and we cuddle while she feeds me, then Pops (the "closer") comes in with a bottle to finish me off, and it's dreamland between 7:30 and 8:00.  Most nights this results in quiet sleep until 7:00 the next morning.  Not every single night, but most nights...

...but haven't quite mastered from Tummy to Back just yet
Mr. Dick and Miss Judy also came for a visit this month and checked out how much I've grown since they saw me in August.

Also!  Perhaps the biggest news yet--On Monday the 19th, with Granny V and Grandpa Jeff, and Karlyn and Bob here to watch Monday Night Football, I had my first FOOD.  Mmmmm...rice cereal...Pops fed me while Moms shot the video.  You'll enjoy it.  In the meantime, here's a photo of me and my favorite new thing ever, a spoon.

Me
and
Maxwell!!
This is my dog Maxwell.  I started to notice him and my other furry siblings, Emmitt and Layla, about a month and a half ago.

Now I LOVE it when I see them.  I laugh so hard!!!!!

As you can see from these photos, being near my bro Maxwell makes me the happiest baby alive.  When I hear his collar jingling I look all around to find him and then I squeal (a nice, high-pitched squeal...) with delight.

Sometimes Maxwell will lick my face and say "hello" but mostly he seems to barely tolerate my existence.  I think things might have been a little better for him before I came along, but he's still pretty spoiled!  I like to bury my face in his fur and Emmitt's fur to Moms' dismay.  I'm pretty drooly right now, and so their fur sticks to my face and mouth and I have to get wiped off.  I don't care, though!  I love how soft they feel.

Moms says that both Maxwell and Emmitt will like me more and more once I start eating more solid foods that will drop to the ground.  I hope that's true, because I want to play with them all the time.

Mmmmmmmm....finnngerrrssss.....
With Grandpa Jeff and Granny V
At the end of the month, Grandma Karen came to town for another visit.  It was great to show off the many skills I've acquired since the last time I saw her.  She also helped me celebrate my first Halloween.  I have to admit, I'm looking forward to enjoying the holiday when I'm a little older.  I didn't get ANY candy this year.  LAME.

ROAR!!! I am the World's Fiercest, um, Dragon?
Okay, wait...um... Dinosaur?
...well, whatever I was, it's the first time I felt like Emmitt wasn't just eyeing me as a meal
One of the things Moms and I love best about Grandma Karen's visits is that Pops actually is brave enough to go to a restaurant with me!  Also, I should put in a special shout out to Grandma Karen for another great shopping trip.  She and Moms bought me some new clothes while Pops used me as a chick magnet in the hallways of Washington Square.
How is it I'm just learning about this cup thing? Water is DEEE-licious!
One of my parents forgot my binky, so Pops MacGyvered (or MacGrubered) the Cork! Cameron Pinot Noir is better than that water I tried earlier!
