Nothing comes between Me and my Gap jeans (except my diaper...my onesie...)
Check me out! I'm standing up!
I still LOVE my hippo piano
and my Exersaucer...especially when Pops brings Emmitt over to see me!
I do not like to lay down at the doctor's anymore!
I had my 9 month check up on Friday March 5 (one week late...) My head circumference is now 19 inches, putting me in the 98th percentile. I weigh 24 pounds, 11 ounces, putting me in the 93rd percentile. When the nurse first measured me she said I was 28-1/4 inches long which put me in the 44th percentile for height...Moms had a panic attack. Thank goodness Dr. L thought that seemed weird and re-measured me. I got a whole inch when it was done right, so I'm officially 29-1/4 inches long and the 78th percentile. A better ratio to be sure!
Here I am in (almost) all my glory
After the doctor's appointment (only one shot this time!!) Moms and I went to pick up Pops, and we all went out to dinner at Cafe Mingo. Pops fed me my dinner (I should mention that these days I prefer Pops to Moms most of the time. She doesn't take it personally.) and then Moms held me while Pops scarfed down his pizza. Moms gave me bites of her dinner--I tried some salmon, some spinach, and cubes of butternut squash. Yummmmmmmm. As you can probably tell, I REALLY like food!
I love him. Seriously.
I now eat Kix, puffs, and all kinds of bite-sized foods without choking!
Saturday the 6th it was just me and Moms so we went to the zoo...
We didn't take as many pix this time since we only had Moms' cell phone...but I got pretty close to this turkey vulture!
My trip to the zoo with Moms was pretty fun. After we were there a while I took a little nap on her, and then my pal Jack showed up with his parents and Miss Anna and Mr. Matt! It was great to see them, and I showed off my eating skills by powering down some applesauce and a bottle.
That night we had dinner at Mr. Mark and Miss Lisa's house, and I got to hang out with Audrey & Cole. They were really cool and let me play with their kitty Izzie.
This morning we got up and had breakfast at Pops' favorite a.m. eating spot, Stepping Stone. Check out the pancakes. After carb-loading I took a THREE HOUR nap. Almost unheard of for me!!! I hear Granny V and Gramps are coming over tonight to see me, too. So excited...
What's the over-under for how old I'll be when I can power one of these down by myself?
I Am Michael Scott
I'm 10 months old now...still holding steady with 6 teeth (and I still like to bite on anything in their path!) and I'm a chatterbox. Pops asks Moms "I wonder who he got THAT from" a lot....I'm not too sure what that means, but I'm pretty sure he's the one doing all the smack-talking!
I like to let my clothes do the talking for me, as you can see from these two pictures.
Seriously, Moms? SERIOUSLY?!?!
How can I pick up chicks with this stupid hat on Moms?
The meerkats were running all over...loved it!

Checking out a kitty's skull...ROAR
On Saturday March 20, Moms, Pops, Katy Jo and I took advantage of the beautiful sunny weather and we hit the zoo. Moms thought Katy Jo could use the distractions, because Oreo, her family's Australian Shepherd, passed away that week. Oreo, I hardly knew ye...but I hear you and Maxwell had some good times at the beach.
Anyway...we had a good time walking around and checking out my favorite exhibits. After that we took Katy Jo home and I got to see Kevin, my Great Uncle Mark, and my Great Aunt Allison. They had some family visiting as well as one of my Aunt's co-workers...everyone seemed pretty charmed by yours truly.
I still LOVE the elephants!
and the Monkeys!

I love to eat Pasketti
I'm not done!
On March 27, instead of being at the beach with all my cool cousins, I stayed in Portland with Moms and Pops. Pops had some friends over to watch UFC...I got to see my "Uncle" Mike, Mr. Chad, Mr. Josh & Mr. Nathan. I went to bed at my normal time, Moms went to bed at her normal time...and Pops? Well, Pops and his friends were up until 3:00 in the morning playing poker. So, when I got up the next morning at my normal time, Moms and I headed over to visit Granny V and Gramps before they went on their annual trip down south.
Uncle Mike was on call, and the neighborhood was gossiping for days
