August was a busy month! We stayed around town, but we got to see Miss Alafair again (rumor has it Mr. Sean was with her, but I didn't get to go to the fancy restaurant my parents met them at for dinner!) and Miss Chris, Mr. Josh, Miss Pamela and Calvin came over to see her! We ate outside on our deck which I always think is super cool. Later that week, Mr. John also came to town for a Timbers game with Pops...again leaving me at home (LAME).
Moms says if the Unabomber had owned colorful shades like this, things could have turned out differently for him
The second weekend of August we went to Manzanita. Pops and Uncle Bobbob went first to get groceries and settle into our 2-bedroom condo. Moms, Auntie Feather and I headed west later in the day. I slept in the room with my parents in my Thomas Tent...or, at least, that was the plan. What actually happened was I got too wound up and fought sleep with such a vengeance that my parents thought they would lose their minds...by the second night they finally realized that while on vacation, normal sleep rules may not always apply and I got to sleep in bed with them because then, at least, we all slept. I was back to normal once we got home to my crib on Sunday night.
The trip was mostly fun, even though I wasn't sleeping well. Sadly, while we were in Manzanita, Auntie Feather and Uncle Bobbob found out their dog, Jack, died. That resulted in a sad end to our otherwise fun weekend. I want to do it again SOON!!!
Manzanita has TIDEPOOLS!! With STARFISH!
After checking out the starfish, I fought sleep and lost....
It was WINDY on the beach in the afternoon

At Cousin Ava's birthday party last month they were just handing out whoopie cushions! Check out the fun I had putting it on Pops' chair.
A typical weekend with Pops:
Saturday morning? Chocolate Milk? Yes, please.
Waiting for the Merry-go-Round to open
They film TNT's show Leverage here in P-town. Pops and I stumbled across this while we were out and about....
The last weekend of August was great. First, we had dinner at our friends, the Howitts' house. It was super cool to see Mr. David, Miss Heather, Sawyer and Hailey again, and to dine on their back deck. Sawyer has a cool LIZARD that I got to see, too! It was neat-o.
The next morning I took Moms and Pops to Pops' favorite breakfast spot, where we ran into some friends!
My Pal Liam pops over the bench divider to say, Whaddup, playa?
Pancakes & Chocolate Milk, while chilling with Pops. A good way to start the day.
the JACK ATTACK TURNS TWO: Party On!
This was the last pic Moms took at the party, but one of our faves of the birthday boy. Don't worry: I'm not Tarantino, we're going to go pretty much in order for the rest of the shots.
The party was at Jack's new house...
...which has a huge, cool backyard for all kinds of party activities!
Birthday Boy & his Bevy o' Babes
I wasn't the birthday boy, but Moms still followed me around with the camera A LOT

After cake, a picture of ALL the KIDS at the party (no small accomplishment, say the photographers)
Party's over? THINK AGAIN: PINATA, PEOPLE!!!!!!
From youngest to oldest, each kid got to take a turn with Mr. John's fishing rod case....needless to say, Mr. Parrish had to finish the pinata off with a fire-poker. Here is one picture of each kid taking their swing, and in the end you can see JW, Jack and I looking on...
Moms and Miss Kirsten really wanted to get a picture of the 4 2-year-olds. 3 of us cooperated....SORT OF....
My best CHEESE face
The month ended with a pizza party at my class at school. We made cookies for our parents. Moms, Pops, Granny & Grandpa all joined the party. I showed Pops my favorite book at school, and after he read it to me, Grandpa read it again to me and my friends!
