October is a busy time of year for people with kids. And for kids.
Pumpkin patch trips, pumpkin carving parties, and trying to decide which super-hero to be for Halloween can really take up a lot of time.
This October was no different, and we thoroughly enjoyed all the memory-making!

What to do on a sunny, crisp Saturday morning when Pops doesn't have school? Head to the Pumpkin Patch with Jack and his parents! I think we should make this an annual thing.
Off to Lakeview Farms for a fun-filled day!
Jack and I are the same height again this year, but I'm confident I've got him in the weight category!
Same shot, closer up
All Aboard! Jack really liked how I cozied up to him for this shot.
CHOO CHOO
After the train, it was on to the ponies. Please note the way that the helmet fits Jack's head and sits atop mine.
Try not to think about the ponies' welfare....
...instead, think of the fun Jackie and I had!
Kings of the Hay Bales
Time to pick a pumpkin!
(it was a pumpkin patch after all)
More fun than the train and the boat
Caterpillar!!
After the Pumpkin Patch it was time for Burgers and Beer
....or Grilled Cheese and Milk, depending on who you asked.
CAGE FIGHT!!!!
The following week was pretty mellow. Gramps took a break from the campaign trail to spring me from school early one afternoon, and we went to a park. It was cool.
The next Saturday, Pops had school, so Moms and I hit the mall for some Cinnabon and also the cool rides that I still am entertained by without my Moms having to plug them full of quarters. I really liked the Cinnabon, but Moms says that's a once-a-decade indulgence. Guess I'm looking forward to being a teenager!
Deep thoughts
Swing!
One benefit of Pops having school, is I sneak into his spot and cuddle with Moms in the morning
Then we send pix to Pops to let him know we miss him....
...and/or we're having a good time despite his absence!
Breakfast of Champions
"Firemens are very serious"
Riding around in the Mall Taxi. Moms likes having someplace to put her bags, I like travelling in style.
Pumpkin Patch 2: The Field Trip
On Friday the 19th I went on my first official school-bus-field-trip to another pumpkin patch! It was so exciting! Moms took the day off of work and came on the trip. I loved having her there. (Pops was in school....sorry, dude: you missed out!)
Here's the thing about busses, they don't have good shocks. So when I was looking out the window and we went over a bump I ended up with quite a bloody nose! No tears though. I'm tough like that.

Yep, Hayride!!!!
Me and my Friends walk to pick out our pumpkins!
My teacher said we had to pick out small pumpkins that we could carry ourselves. I did good.
After the patch, Moms was inspired by the fall goodness so we went to the store to get some cider and squash to make a soup. Yum yum yum.
The next day Granny, Gramps, Moms and I headed East to the mountains. Granny's cousins have a home on the river near ZigZag, at the base of Mt. Hood. Every year they have a pumpkin carving party. It is quite the shindig!

After we got home, Moms and I decided to warm up our cold bones by taking a bubble bath! This was my first time in her tub and I LOVED it!
Then it was time for my Guitar Solo
My first Halloween Costume...
Not quite the same as it was three years ago!
Great news. I had such a stretch of good days at school that I got to bring home Larry the Leprechaun. It is a huge honor.
I was really excited because I got to take him to a meeting at my Moms' work--they were talking about building a new courthouse. The meeting itself was less exciting than the fact that Larry was there to hang out with me though....
I got a cool new baseball cap at the meeting, too
and a cookie
Sharing a bagel with Larry
Nighttime Dance Party
HALLOWEEN: SPIDER MAN!!!!!!!!!
Spider web! Pshhhewwwww!
Oh man, I hate going to a party where someone else is dressed like me.....
Good thing it was Brady, he's one of my bestest buds.
Pops, Moms & I hit the houses on our street, then Pops stayed home to study while Granny, Moms & I hit other streets in our 'hood. Too bad for Pops the electricity went out shortly after we left and stayed that way for hours....
Monsters Inc Inspired Pumpkins. Concept by Me, Carving by Moms
There was a haunted house in our neighborhood. Moms took me through it. It was a bit more intense than she expected....I was not a fan, although I did get TWO pieces of candy at the end of it. So that was cool.
