April started out great. My parents and I headed out of the rainy Oregon springtime for the sunnier days and nights of Maui. My Gram spoils us regularly, and this trip was no exception. We met up with Gram, Uncle Steven, Aunt Tracy, Cousins Eli & Anya, and Clau (their nanny and possibly my first crush....)
Ahhh, the shores of Wailea. My parents had been here a few times, but this was my first.
Me and Pops have a little dude time since I woke up at the CRACK of dawn.
Giddyup: on the way to breakfast, day one
A kid could really get used to this
Enjoying the waterfall at the big pool
Also enjoying a random grate at the pool (I'm fairly easy to entertain)

Our villa had a private plunge pool, which I L-O-V-E-D
Also loved sharing the hammock with Cousin Anya
My cousins and I made some jewelry
Moms helped with mine
After our daily breakfast (kids under 5 eat free--bet they change that policy after a little O-Mo stay!) we would usually hang out by the resort. One day, though, we went to Kamaole Beach, where Granny and Gramps took me in December.
Unfortunately on this trip the water was not nearly as clear as it had been when we went before, so Uncle Steve did not get to enjoy a beautiful snorkel despite Moms' promises that he would. Way to go Moms.
The winds may have ruined the crystal clear water, but they made it easy for a kid to fly his kite

One last horsie ride at the Fairmont
We were sad to leave the Fairmont; little did we know what Grams had in store for us at our next stop!
If I haven't made it clear already, Gram spoils us rotten. All of us.
So as if our original house with a private pool and resort breakfast wasn't good enough proof of that, she took us all to the Grand Wailea to finish out our trip. The Grand Wailea has amazing pools with super cool caves and slides. We all had a blast.
Checking in and making a wish with the Little Mermaid
Pops and I check out the sandy kid's pool
I started to get pretty brave when it came to hanging in the pool
...Less so when it was time to hit the bigger pools, though.

Not only did the end of the trip mean returning to rainy Oregon, but it was April, which meant that my Granny had left for the warmer climates of Southern California for a month! I always miss her a lot when she's gone, but not as much as she misses me!!
Moms teaches me to appreciate the finer things in life: tomato soup and grilled cheese on a cool spring evening
Sure it was April, but sometimes you just gotta dust off the Football Jersey
I also wore a shirt for Boston, you know why
Pops was back at school, so Moms and I were on our own for a Saturday adventure--Children's Museum!
