Life has been getting in the way of this blog. I am trying to catch up now, but it in all likelihood means there's going to be lots of pix, but not so much talky-talky.
But do you really want to read all about it, or just see amazing photos of yours truly?
I thought so.
Without further ado:

Hawks Win Big!!!! And I like Christmas Lights.
December means the annual trip to meet Granny and Grampa in Maui. This year, I was particularly excited to go and wore my snorkel gear around the house.
It was a little stressful the morning we were leaving as Portland got a light dusting of snow. Normally, I'd complain about Portlanders being bad drivers in snow but I have to concede that this light dusting of snow was deceptive--it didn't seem like a big deal but it was crazy slippery. We sat on the freeway thinking we were going to miss our flight because cars just were not moving.
We made it in time, and then my parents realized the flight crew was in the same traffic jam. So our flilght was delayed, but I'd rather wait at the airport than miss a flight any day.
MOVE PEOPLE! I've got someplace to BE!!!!!!!

Last night: shoulders next to the torches.
Our last morning. I'm contemplating heading home and I'm non-plussed to say the least.
At least when I get home from Hawaii we're full swing into Christmas cheer.
It takes some of the pain of leaving paradise away.

We are both super cute, but I can't say we're super cooperative when Moms breaks out her camera
Here we are at the snake
Perhaps we'd be more cooperative if she didn't make us pose at Every. Single. Thing. Here we are at the entrance.

2013 wrapped up with a new addition to our happy family: a KITTY!
Since we were down to one pet, and a pretty lame one at that (looking at you, Layla), Pops decided it was time for me to get my own kitty. So off we went to the Humane Society. Here's the deal though, you go a few days after Christmas and it's pretty slim pickings, so we ended up with a 5-month-old kitten. Given the proximity to Christmas, we gave serious consideration to calling her Holly.
In the end, though, her distinctive marking combined with my never-ending love of the Toy Story movies meant we landed on BULLSEYE. Bully for short.
It's really hard to stay mellow when you're 4 and you get a new kitten
I mean, it's REAALLLYYYY hard!!!!
And just like that, 2013 came to a close. Cheers to the New Year!
