The year started off GREAT! The Ducks beat the 'Noles in the Rose Bowl in one of the all-time-great-Duck-games-e-v-e-r!
The Ducks were off to the Natty (again), and here I was at home (again) in my MARIOTA jersey!
Here's Moms before the game in Dallas--she was really happy in this picture. Poor old gal.
My Moms went to the College Football Championship and all I got was this Lousy Pillow Pet
Another big game, another O-Mo reppin' at home
Moms got home from Dallas and she was super-duper depressed. Like, so depressed she Googled "Sports-Related Depression."
But she had to bounce back quickly since she was going the next week to Seattle for the NFC Championship. For three quarters of that game, she only got more depressed....but then: one of the most amazing comebacks in the history of football happened right before her very eyes!
Moms and Pops stayed for the whole game, unlike some Squawk fans....
I wrote a song: wanna guess who it's about?
I got a little shiner at after-care
I had so much Hawks spirit even my tongue was blue!
On a walk home from school, Moms and I showed off our team spirit
12th Man Flag: Super Bowl Party Prep
Batman is also a huge Hawks fan, as it turns out
February was a month that started off with great optimism and hope! We were super excited to have our friends over for a Super Bowl party (instead of my parents jetting off to Arizona and leaving me behind for yet another big game!)
Moms probably spent almost as much money on green and blue candies as she would have on game tickets, but she did the house up!
Well, it's still too hard for me to talk about. Suffice to say, we were very very happy and then we were very very sad. Oh, Seahawks. When you're good you're so very good and then suddenly, without warning......one of the craziest calls in the history of football. (Ugh! Okay, I have to talk about it! YOU HAD MARSHAWN LYNCH, Pete! MARSHAWN LYNCH! Guhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Even my soda had Seahawks Spirit
Jack & his parents stopped by on their way to a birthday party. A BIRTHDAY party?!?! Who has a birthday party on Super Bowl Sunday!!??!!
My parents' torture continues, this time in the form of a SpongeBob movie
An improvement the following day: The Children's Museum
Things got pretty interesting in mid-February. Moms got a new boss, but more importantly:
I learned how to ski!!!!!!
And Moms tried to remember how to ski.............
Moms tried to be stealthy while photographing my lessons; unfortunately that meant she couldn't get too close
Family Ski Shot!
Moms realized when she was taking this selfie that the last time she had skied the iPhone hadn't even been invented
Isn't it super-selfless of Moms to stop skiing so she can take pictures of me and Pops on the chair lift?
On the way out of town, Mr. Eric showed us the cool fish hatchery at Camp Sherman
Quarters! I need quarters for fish food!!!!
Who knew a bunch of fish jockeying for pellets could be so fascinating?
My parents really wanted to make sure that this skiing thing would stick, so the next weekend we were back up on the mountain getting me a lesson.
Carb-loading with Jack
We didn't plan it, but check out our shirts!
Moms jetted off to LA for 36 hours, so Pops made sure I ate a healthy breakfast
