Sometimes, my parents disagree about what is an appropriate breakfast.  So one day, I was super psyched that Pops made me a Pop Tart.  I was feeling pretty sassy....but you'll see from the video that this was no ordinary Pop Tart.  It was some organic, healthy alternative...or as I like to call it, an abomination.

it is critical at all times to know the best moves

Moms and I went to collect some leaves for a turkey. Here's the city behind me.
Old friends are the best friends
I had such a great time with my pals at the F&F Alumni night, our parents decided we could all get together at PDX Playdate on Veteran's Day.  It was a blast!

Our parents especially liked that we were able to go in and play while they all enjoyed coffee and each others' company.  Growing older has its perks for everyone, including the grown ups!

First grade was the year my parents realized they couldn't just plan a trip without at least minimizing the days of school I'd miss.  So, we headed to Maui for Thanksgiving week.

My grandparents were already there, and picked me up at the airport so my parents could spend time with our friends Mr. Eric and Miss Elisabeth, and celebrate their engagement!

I hooked back up with my parents after a few days in Kihei with Granny, Gramps, and Auntie Feather.

The original plan was to get picked up by Moms and Miss Elisabeth, and then we'd all hit the aquarium.  Those plans were ruined, though, by a faulty rental car that died when they were headed to get me.  So, they got manis and pedis while they waited for a tow, went back to the airport for a new rental, and then came and got me.

I'm still kind of mad I didn't go see the fish, but I could tell they were in no mood when they arrived.

And...just like that, vacation was over.

My parents and I flew to Seattle from Maui so we could see the Seahawks defeat the Pittsburgh Steelers 39 - 30 on our way home.

...it seemed like a good idea when we planned it that way earlier in the year, anyway, but it did make for a long Sunday for Pops.

T F W you realize vacation is over
Time Change + Travel + Game Day = Tired OMo
We went from sunny Maui to crisp Seattle and sat out in the cold....
Layering for acclimation was key!

You would think after that November, that we would have slowed down for the next month but NOPE that is not how we roll.

December included haircuts, Santa visits, a trip to the Capitol for the Governor's Christmas Party, Star Wars: the Force Awakens, a Hawks game with Mr. John & Jack, and Christmas at Cooper Spur.

The next morning we were up early for more skiing--Moms got fancy with this photo of her car window
Two thumbs up for my ski day (but Moms had quite the spill, and we would later learn she tore her ACL!)
We brought the mountain snow home with us!
Luckily the cats kept Pops warm
We ended the year in Manzanita--it was even cold at the beach!
Blaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh
Happy New Year, Pops!
